Over the past decade, they’ve embraced carbonic fermentation to bring out the fresh, vibrant character of Santa Barbara County red grapes, and in 2020, they applied this technique to white grapes for an orange wine. By pressing the whole grapes after just seven days, it allows the native fermentation to finish as liquid, resulting in a clean, balanced, and fresh orange wine, bottled early to preserve its profile. In the fourth edition of Love You Bunches Orange, they’ve perfected the varietal blend, combining Pinot Gris for depth, richness, and color with a touch of Orange Muscat for tropical notes, Tocai Friulano for texture and brightness, and Gewurztraminer for exotic flavors. The playful label, featuring the unique penmanship of vineyard manager Ruben Solorzano, reflects the fun, loving care they give to the grape bunches during harvest for carbonic fermentation.
Wine Notes
This wine bursts with lively Ruby Red Grapefruit and tropical notes, delivering a vibrant citrus punch followed by richer, thicker textures. It’s like a more refined, savory version of Squirt Soda, with crunchy golden pineapple, a touch of shaved coconut, and subtle hints of wood and stone that perfectly complement the upfront fruit flavors.
