After a 2012 vintage hailed by the international critics and the accession to the title of Grand Cru Classe for the Chateau Barde-Haut, 2013 confirms the constancy of this very beautiful property on the right bank of Bordeaux among the finest references of Saint-Émilion.
The result of a blend dominated by Merlot (90%) and supplemented by Cabernet Franc, Chateau Barde-Haut 2013 was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 80% of which were new.
On tasting, Chateau Barde-Haut 2013 presents a brilliant nose of fruit expression, with notes reminiscent of black berries and plum. Aeration highlights the sweetness of spicy notes and the minerality of the vintage. On the palate, the wine seduces with its depth and richness, displaying a nicely structured mouthfeel. A reference of Saint-Emilion.
